Accept & forward tasks

Not everything can be done by yourself and the other way round often you are needed by others.
Therefore, tasks which have been created in taskmind can of course be forwarded on to other people – whether they are logged in to taskmind or not.
When someone gives someone else a task, this person has to first accept (or reject) before the requester really knows whether the other person will do the task. This is all about the handshake and commitment.
By the way, tasks can not only be assigned to individuals, they can also be assigned to groups. Here you can choose whether only one from the group or all from the group must complete the task.
Adding Contacts to a Contact List

Before you can assign a task to someone else, you have to add this person to your contact list. To achieve this simply select “New Contact” from the list at the top left.
In this dialog you can enter the e-mail address, first and second name or user name of the person you are looking for.
If this person already uses taskmind, you just need to click on the plus sign to add that person to your contact list.
However, if you don’t find a person you can still add them to your contact list. You just click on the link ‘Invite person to taskmind’, enter their e-mail address, forename, surname and optionally a short note that will be sent to that person. From this moment on this person is not yet a taskmind user and has no obligations but you can work with the person (almost) as if they were an active taskmind user. More on this later.
In the contact list, the green circle shows that Max Mustermann is currently online. The question mark means that John Doe is not yet registered – he is a guest user of taskmind. Also more on this later.
Assigning a Task to Someone Else
You can assign tasks to people in your contact list really easily. There are basically three options.
Forwarding Existing Tasks
If a task already exists you can assign it to the person via Drag & Drop.
Defining the Worker When Creating a Task
If you define the worker for a task when you first create the task you can just enter this person as the worker in the new task dialog, similar to when you’re sending an e-mail.
Entering a Task in Another Person’s To-Do List
The above is also possible with one click on the person; this way a list opens which contains all tasks for which that person is responsible (and that you are allowed to see). If you enter a new task in this task list then it is automatically assigned to that person.
Receiving a Task from Someone Else
Now if I can give tasks to other people then I should figure that I’ll receive tasks from other people too. You should be prepared for this.
